Frequently Asked Questions

All of our neon work is hand fabricated by the owner using glass tubing and neon gas.  You will find many signs advertised online as "neon", which are not actual neon.  Those signs are plastic LED signs.  We advise you to use caution when purchasing "neon" online, as we hear many horror stories about customer experiences with those online stores and the quality of the plastic signs customers receive.  

E-lite Neon Signs work can be seen all over the Rochester, NY area.  Please see Our Work Speaks For Itself section for a small amount of work samples.  Some of these may be familiar to you!

Unfortunately no.  All custom neon work will either need to be picked up in person in Rochester, NY by the customer, or scheduled for install by E-lite Neon Signs within the local area.  We have attempted to carefully pack and ship our neon work in the past only to be left with broken glass, disappointed customers, and no accountability from shipping services.

We cannot fix broken plastic faux neon purchased online, as those are LED signs, not actual neon.   We can only assess actual glass neon signs for repair.  Additionally, buying a glass neon sign from us provides you with someone local to contact for repairs should your sign be subject to accidental breakage or damage.      

Not technically, but... E-Lite Neon Signs is a part of First Knight Enterprise, which is a coins and collectables shop located at 620 Ridge Road in Webster, NY.  While this is not an actual neon retail shop, you can see some of our neon and LED work for sale there among the rest of the coins and collectables.

We are not currently hiring as we are a two person business.  We often get asked if we are able to take on neon apprentices from local trade or art schools.  Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate any apprenticeships or internships.
