Frequently Asked Questions

All of our neon work is hand fabricated by the owner by heating and bending glass tubing, and then adding in the correct mix of gases to make it glow.  This is the ONLY WAY neon signs are made. 

Due to the resurgence of neon as an aesthetic for businesses and events, there are MANY websites (often overseas) that claim to sell cheap custom neon signs. Sadly, those are LED "faux neon" signs and not actual neon.  If your faux neon sign has arrived incorrect or is not working, you will need to contact the seller to see if they can remedy the situation.  We cannot fix broken or incorrect faux neon purchased online.  We can only assess actual glass tube neon signs for repair.

Unfortunately no.  All custom neon work will either need to be picked up in person in Rochester, NY by the customer, or scheduled for install by E-lite Neon Signs within the local area.  We have attempted to carefully pack and ship our neon work in the past only to be left with broken glass, disappointed customers, and no accountability from shipping services.

Not technically, but... E-Lite Neon Signs is a part of First Knight Enterprise, which is a coins and collectables shop located at 620 Ridge Road in Webster, NY.  While this is not an actual neon retail shop, you can see some of our neon for sale there among the rest of the coins and collectables.

We are not currently hiring as we are a two person business.  We often get asked if we are able to take on neon apprentices from local trade or art schools.  Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate any apprenticeships or internships.
